MPPIA Rolls out the Green Carpet Monday, June 22 at Point Grey
The Motion Picture Production Industry Association of BC will gather with colleagues at the Point Grey Golf & Country Club on Monday June 22 for the Stephen J. Cannell Classic Fundraising Celebration.
In 2015, the event supports the MPPIA Short Film Award and Dream Big Productions with this year’s contribution to be added to the more than half a million dollars raised over 27 years. Community engagement is an important priority of BC’s creative industry stakeholders and The Stephen J. Cannell Classic is an enduring example of this shared commitment.
After the last hole is played on the “Fairway of Fame” golfers will gather with dinner guests on the patio of the Point Grey Golf and Country Club for the “Green Carpet Wrap Party”. In the spirit of the newly established BC Creates initiative, MPPIA is pleased to be joined by colleagues from across film/television/music/digital media/publishing for an evening of food, drink, networking and entertainment featuring the Myles Bigelow duo.
The Motion Picture Production Industry Association of BC (MPPIA) is a member-based, non-profit society established in April 2002 to grow, diversify and promote a competitive and sustainable motion picture production industry in British Columbia.
BC Creates is a branded communications initiative established by creative industry stakeholders to celebrate and engage British Columbia in the story of the Province’s vibrant creative economy.
