LIGHTS, CAMERA, ABBOTSFORD: BC Film + TV Production Industry Rolls Out Red Carpet of Appreciation
Abbotsford, BC – British Columbia’s film + television production community will bring their message of appreciation to Abbotsford at a special community screening of Monsters Inc. hosted by Prospera Cinema Under the Stars on August 15th.
Red carpet: 6:30 pm
Screening: 9 pm
Location: Rotary Stadium, 32470 Haida Drive
Ahead of the screening, a red-carpet crew will be on hand for paparazzi photo opps, interviews and swag give-aways – in a special thank you to Abbotsford for their role on and behind the screen of many BC shot film and tv productions.
The vital cooperation – between industry, local Business Improvement Associations and communities, as well as municipal and provincial film offices – contributes to BC’s position as one of North America’s top film and television production hubs. Among the productions that have recently shot in Abbotsford: Man in the High Castle; Supergirl; The Package; The Mountain Between Us.
This BC film + tv industry community appreciation event is presented by the Motion Picture Community Initiative (MPCI) Industry Stewardship Project. The Motion Picture Community Initiative is a British Columbia industry task force established by the Motion Picture Production Industry Assn. of BC (MPPIA) to recognize, appreciate, profile and celebrate the BC community stakeholders that help make the Province’s film and television production sector thrive.
