MPPIA Rolls Out Marketing and Business Development Activities with Support From Western Economic Diversification Canada

As of March 2011, Western Economic Diversification Canada approved MPPIA for international marketing and business development funding for the coming three years. The first six months of the program have been productive, with the following project activities initiated:

• Hong Kong Filmart (business programming in cooperation with BC Film)
• BC Producers’ Accelerator (market readiness ai???bootcamp’ in cooperation with the CMPA)
• MPPIA Los Angeles-based US representation retained
• BC Production Industry Promotional Reel update
• MPPIA market intelligence database and website development
• MPPIA marketing materials redevelopment

Within the next three months, MPPIA will support and participate in an inbound business development mission from China; also on the fall agenda is an outbound mission to Los Angeles that will include a ai???Friends of BC’ client reception at the Canadian Consulate.
