“Behind the Screens” is a documentary about the BC motion picture industry ‘ made for the industry, by the industry. This piece is an opportunity to showcase and celebrate the Social, Economic and Environmental positive efforts happening locally. Taken together, these three areas contribute to an emerging trend in the industry called ai???Sustainable

Sustainable Production in BC has been spearheaded by passionate filmmakers, vendors, crew and local industry organizations. The goal of this documentary is to tell BC’s amazing Sustainable Production story, showcase our industry, position BC as a Sustainable Production leader, and create another competitive advantage for years to come.

In the spirit of collaboration Green Spark Group is seeking local in-kind donations to help with the shoot. We have already been given the green light on an in-kind donation for our cameras from Sim Digital ‘ thank you! We are also hoping for in-kind studio space to shoot the interviews, equipment and any resources for post-production. Our goal is to raise a minimum $100K to produce this piece.

The Planet In Focus film festival has selected ai???Behind the Screensai??? to compete for the ai???Green Pitch Green Spark Group’s Aza O’Leary and Zena Harris will be in Toronto on November 7th pitching for the top prize of $10K+, which includes in-kind industry support and cash to help produce the project.
